proper disposal of unused fuel and/or fuel drums afterwards.
8. VEHICLE LOG BOOKS
The Vehicle Logbook for each
PRL Race car remains the property of PRL and will contain not only the
record of technical inspections, but also the major maintenance performed
and all transfers of ownership. The Vehicle Logbook number will be assigned
by the PRL and will be on the front cover. When the vehicle is sold,
traded, or scrapped, the logbook shall be sent to VDI, 545 N. Dearborn
W-1209, Chicago, IL 60610-4729. A new logbook will be issued to the new
owner. When the logbook has been filled, a new one shall be requested from
the VDI. The logbook shall be presented at Technical inspection at each
event entered. All PRL cars are subject to normal safety inspection. Each
entrant is required to have in his possession at every race the PRL Logbook
to aid scrutinizers in inspection. Additionally, scrutinizers will check
official seals. A competitor may not be barred from competing at a specific
event if a seal is broken, or damaged, but the part may be considered
suspect and will be treated as such and will be noted in the PRL Logbook by
the Scrutinizer. If engine manifold, valve cover, timing chain cover, or
oil pan seals are broken, damaged, or missing, the engine shall be torn down
for testing and resealing at the competitor’s cost prior to the next event.
9. WEIGHT
The cars competing weigh will
be dependent on class and to be determined after qualifying and either of
the races. Any of the top five finishers may be signaled to go to the
impound area and be weighed before going to their pits. Failure to go to
impound will result in disqualification for that session. If it is a
qualifying session the driver will be gridded at the rear for the race and
lose all qualifying points. If it is a race session the driver will lose
all points for that race. Cars can also be arbitrarily selected, as deemed
necessary, at each event to check that they meet minimum approved weight.
Failure to make minimum weight at the completion of a race will result in
loss of all points for that race.
